Practical Examinations in Hons subjects shall be held from 11.00 am to 3.30 pm. except Chemistry & Physics (Part II) which shall be held from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm. Centres are requested to allow all eligible candidates on production of their Admit Card & ID Registration and if the allocation has one or two missing IDs, please fill up a blank DR/ Award list.
Casual candidates repeating Part I Practicals in Zoology are requested to go to the same center with their regular candidates on the day mentioned in the regular routine instead of a separate day (12th August) as may have been intimated to some colleges earlier. External exmaniners are requested to fill a blank award list for such candidates after checking their Admit Card & ID.

Due to a holiday in some of our affiliated colleges on Wednesday, 28th July, all practical exams of CMSA-1st Year & CMAV- 2nd year are deferred by one day. (e.g on 29-31 July instead of 28-30 July for CMSA-1st year & 29 th instead of 28th of CMAV- 2nd Year).
Review of B.Ed Scripts
Principals of affiliated B.Ed Colleges are requested to forward applications from candidates to the Controller Section for Review of answer scripts (max. of 2 half or 1 full paper) paying the requisite fees within one month from publication of results. I. The final list of examination centres (with minor modifications for a few affiliated colleges) for the ensuing Part-I & II Examinations starting 7th June, 2010 is attached below.

II. Representatives from Examination Centres are requested to collect the DR for Part-I on Thursday, 3rd June, 2010 from the University office
III. Centre-In-Charges are requested to display the final Exam schedule (attached below) at their centres before the first day of the exams

IV. Examinations for Part-I & II Hons papers for the following subjects for both B.A. and B.Sc candidates shall be held on the dates of B.Sc. exams. For general papers, however, candidates are to report to the centre mentioned in the DR as per their respective stream/ subjects:

Announcements Regarding B.A./B.Sc/B.Com Exams, 2010

1. On account of Municipal Elections, necessary amendments have been made in the schedule for B.A./B.Sc/B.Com/B.B.A. Examinations, 2010. Please click the links below for the new routine & schedule:

There is a change in the date of Journalism Part-I exams for which please refer to the attached Routine
2. Form fill-up dates are till 30th April, 2010. Last date of submission of all forms for Part I & II to the University is 5th May, 2010.

3. Regarding Practical Examinations for General subjects in Part-II, Principals of affiliated colleges are requested to send the dates of the Viva exams (between 26th April & 10th May, 2010) and the subject-wise list of internal co-ordinators to the Controller's office by 16th April upon receipt of which, the list of External Examiners along with the award list shall be sent to the respective colleges.

4. Casual/ Continuing Candidates appearing in the Part-I examinations, 2010 in English/ Geography/ Anthropology are advised that they will have an option to answer questions either from the Old or the New syllabus. However, for both options, the full marks will be 100.

Notification Pertaining to Admission to B.Ed Course for Session 2010-11

Reference the Corrigendum issued by University of Calcutta and relevant instructions received from the Govt. of West Bengal, students belonging to SC/ST categories having 40% marks both in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Master Degree Examination of any recognised university are eligible to apply for admission to the B.Ed course conducted by colleges affiliated to the West Bengal State University, Barasat, for the academic session 2010-11.


Due to Municipal election centre at Gobardanga Hindu College, minor modifications have been made in the list of examination centres for the B.Ed Examinations starting from 20th May, 2010. Please click the following link to get the final list.
